El Naturalista - N5262 Nomada - Unisex
Nómada is the journey and the experience. Just like these minimalist shoes, made for anyone who wants to move freely without giving up on style. A barefoot experience with every step thanks to a flexible, lightweight design that adapts to the natural shape of your feet. Because moving mindfully is also a way of travelling further.
Alpine grass leather has a pronounced grain, with small irregularities visible from arm's length that stop the dye from sitting flat. In petrol that texture reads more clearly than it would in a dark colour: the blue-green lifts on the raised grain and gathers in the hollows, turning almost grey where the instep flexes. It is a cool marine tone, more muted than bottle green and less obvious than a workwear blue. Over the months, the flex creases above the toes will draw paler lines and the colour will lose saturation at the toe cap. The result is a Chelsea boot in an uncommon shade that still sits well with dark denim, corduroy and heavy knitwear.
Who is NÓMADA N5262A in PETROL for?
For anyone in and out all day, changing surfaces every half hour, who would rather not stop to tie laces. The side elastics and the two pull tabs get the boot on in seconds, even wearing a coat. It is a unisex model, sizes 36 to 46, with a shaft just above the ankle that works tucked in or worn over the trouser. It also suits those who already walk in minimalist footwear, or who come from a flexible boot and have no intention of going back to a rigid sole.
Minimalist footwear
Zero drop: heel and forefoot at the same height, with no incline pushing your weight forward. The 8 mm soft rubber sole lets ground information through and bends with the foot at every toe-off, offering no resistance across the metatarsals. The Comfort + last frees the toes in the forefoot, which is where the foot needs room to work. This is the minimalist level, not pure barefoot: there is a little more material underfoot so you can walk all day on tarmac without giving it a thought.
Materials and construction
The sole is 8 mm soft rubber with a low-lug tread, dependable on wet pavement and on the surface changes of an urban winter. It is joined to the upper with 360º Strobel stitching, an assembly with no rigid structures in between, which is what allows the boot to flex continuously. Above it sits a 4.5 mm removable microfibre insole and a lining of 80% leather and 20% microfibre covering the inside of the shaft and the heel. The upper, in Alpine grass leather, carries two dark elastic side panels that contrast with the petrol and two logo pull tabs. The whole thing weighs less than a boot of this silhouette suggests.
Size guide
True to size across the 36-46 range, with a comfort last and a wide forefoot: narrow feet will feel room around the toes, which is precisely the intention here. Alpine grass leather gives a little across the instep in the first weeks but does not gain width; the real fit comes from the side elastics and the heel counter. Choose with your winter sock in mind, a medium wool one, since that is what you will wear most of the time.
